Troubleshooting

Diagnose common setup, context-menu, performance, and extraction problems.

Context menu missing

Re-enable it in settings, restart Explorer, and check Show more options on Windows 11.

Context menu duplicated or malformed

Disable conflicting archive extensions, register the menu again, then sign out or restart.

Compression or extraction is slow

Update, lower the level, and inspect threads, memory, disk, network paths, and live security scanning.

Associations or icons are wrong

Reapply associations, restart Explorer, and rebuild the icon cache if necessary.

CRC or data error

The archive may be damaged, incomplete, or using the wrong password. Download again, test it, and verify every volume.

Multipart extraction fails

Keep continuous, unchanged part names together and start from the first part or final ZIP file.

Destination is not writable

Use a local writable folder and check free space, path length, permissions, read-only media, and security blocking.

Encrypted archive won't open

Check case, keyboard layout, encoding, and algorithm; older tools may not support AES or filename encryption.

Progress stalls at 99%

Allow disk flushing and scanning to finish; retry on a local SSD with shorter paths and fewer threads.

Registration fails

Check network, clock, TLS, proxy, firewall, license type, and device count before entering the key again.

Network or sync archive won't open

Copy it locally first and check mapped credentials, locks, offline state, and sync-client usage.

Filenames are garbled

Try automatic detection or the correct codepage; prefer Unicode ZIP or 7Z for cross-platform exchange.
