Compress files

Create ZIP, 7Z, and other archives with destination, level, split-volume, and password options.

  1. 01

    Select content

Choose files in Explorer or start a new archive in Bandizip.

  2. 02

    Choose a format

Use ZIP for compatibility, 7Z for stronger compression, or TAR-family formats for Unix workflows.

  3. 03

    Set name and location

Confirm the extension, output folder, and free space; do not save inside the source tree.

  4. 04

    Tune compression

Balance speed, size, algorithm, dictionary memory, and thread count.

  5. 05

    Add encryption or volumes

Set a password when needed and split output to fit transfer or storage limits.

  6. 06

    Create, test, and back up

Test the finished archive and verify file counts before deleting source data.
